Dinosaur VS Theme Park Caricaturists

On our adventures we constantly passed caricaturists at work.  The boys (and I myself) were always tempted, esp the Lego head themed ones.  But then I would always think "Why pay that much for something I can do myself".  I have a different style to my caricatures, but they get the job done.  I still owe my boys a lego head caricature of them.
So here is Dino, as a caricaturist (or at least I) would see him....

The Road is Paved with Good Intentions....

My family and I just went on vacation, and I had the great idea to bring little Dino along and take pictures of him in all of our adventures.  Sort of a traveling gnome idea.  So the first couple days he was stuck in a suit case, as I kicked myself for forgetting him, so I thought that I should put him in my purse.  Somewhere along the way, he escape and was never seen again. :(

    ***moment of silence***

The good news is that he was a kids meal toy, and I have more than one kid, so have no fear, I have another one!   As for the pictures, I took several shots of scenery that he will  painted into.
I look forward to sharing.  Until then, enjoy this video of a Lego Cantina Starwars band performing ...

Dinosaur VS Optimash Prime and Darth Tater

This one was drawn by my 6 year old Son.  He asked me if he could do one, and I would be a horrible horrible Mother if I did not encourage him.  I love it.  When he was done, he said that he wasn't as good as me, and that if I had done it, I would have done it better.  I took a moment to praise him for what he did.  He asked if I was going to redo it to make it better, and I told him NO!  That I loved what he did, and this was ALL him, I didn't even help.  We talked about working at our talents, and letting them evolve from within us.  I made sure to let him know that I am not perfect, and that at one point I started out like he did.  He was, after all very proud of his work, and I let him know that I was proud of him.
He set it all up using his toys- Darth Tater and Optimash Prime (potato heads).  Optimash is kind of camouflaged in the background, but you can make him out once you see him.  Seriously, how cute is this!?!!

Dinosaur VS an Inner Conflict

Pray tell me- where is it written that the worlds most fierce predator cannot wear a dress?  Doesn't that make him that much more terrifying?  I'm pretty sure that would be the last thing I would expect.

Dinosaur VS Jazz

Who will win the battle in Dinosaur VS Jazz?  Our little dino is armed with a high quality toothpick sword, while Jazz is armed with claws and an inner rage.  Both have something to prove.
